I started on this journey many years ago, photographing my Arabian and part-Arabian horses with a Nikkormat and a Nikon FA, when I lived in Arizona. I wanted to learn to capture my animals' spirit myself. I had a great deal of fun photographing my horses and ended up with some phenomenal shots.

I never had a darkroom, so the process of photographing something and then waiting for days to see my mistakes or my inspirations was maddening. It took a long time to learn that way. Now that digital cameras, inkjet printers and the Internet have come so far in their evolution, the process of shoot and process has been reduced to minutes, not days. Fortunately, I am a quick and avid learner, and my foray into the digital world of photography has been one of great discovery for me.

Photography is a way of expressing and presenting my emotion and feelings about a subject to others. You'll see from looking at my Galleries some of my favorite subjects.

I have also incorporated "PHOTOGRAPHIC PAINTINGS" into my collection of photo art. I use my original photography and digitally "paint" new "masterpieces" using chalk, oils, pastels, mosaic tiles and other artistic media. The results are phenomenal and can be seen the Galleries section of this website. This seems to be a natural confluence of my artistic nature with the evolution of digital photography/software.

I am constantly testing the waters of digital painting and have recently expanded into painting portraits as well.

Please look through the website and enjoy. I welcome your feedback.
